I want to keep this brief.
The best advise I can give you today for your dating and romantic sex relationship life?
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
It's the first Thanksgiving without anyone from the older generation from my bloodline side of the family.
Our first Thanksgiving without our father. And we loved him, but sometimes at this time of the year, he was a PITB. family can be like that. It's part of the deal. And we LEARN to deal with it. Being imperfect, a PITB, and still CHOOSING to love someone. It's a great skill set for committed love relationships and marriage. (Not that I'm saying never divorce, but you know there are days, weeks, months, where, we or they are.. unlovely and we still CARE and love them. Cause man, they need it! lol!)
So God brought in a relative I never thought I would meet. Because to her I and we on our side of the family represented all she hated, well, at least SOME of what she hated in her divorce from my late uncle. And yet, all of this was indeed, years ago. And now, well, we were doing the cooking!!!! (OK, so my darling sister Diane did all the cooking, my brother and I simply GOT ourselves there.) My aunt Irene.
And my beautiful cousin Barbara? Former model, MBA, sweet feminine lady, single....? Looks just like her mother.
So, we got to meet, share food (OK, so fantastic food, my sister Diane, the cook, Vassar Woman, JD cum laude ...) and be a family.
Now, we are slugging on the couch. Reading. Blogging. Sipping wine. Eating MORE pie....
The good things in life.
That is another reason WHY it matters to go date to create the great long lasting love relationships you crave.
Yes, sex (can I hear an Amen?). And sweetness. Tenderness.
Love.
That's why we do it.
