Now, what is interesting is, I have heard some dating and relationship experts like myself recommend casually interacting at athletic clubs and fitness centers as great places for singles to meet and possibly date. And then, because there wouldn't be a Presidential Election if there weren't some differences of opinion, there are those who totally recommend against any kind of flirting at the gym.

I like to see, how/where have ACTUAL people met their spouses? Real people (don't you feel like a reality based tv ad).

Hiking. I LOVE hiking. I actually do this often. I WANT really really WANT to be in a relationship with a man who wants to hike WITH me. And might even hike more and better than I do.
Or, and uh, who likes Ordinance. (if you know to what I am referring, you match, if you don't just glaze over that term and don't worry).
So, check out the article. AND get OUT and do what YOU love to do and think about about... what of THESE activities do I want to SHARE with my romantic mate? life partner, spouse, wife, husband

Love the picture gorgeous. When I met my husband, he worked for the phone company and I was a secretary at an ins co. He used to see me all the time in the building so he asked one of my guys who I was. He got my office phone number from him and disconnected my phone. Of course when I picked up my phone and had no dial tone, I had to call the phone company for someone to come and fix it. And guess who showed up!!!!!!

Makes perfect sense to me that if you want to meet someone with similar interests to yours, you would go somewhere where you find those people. You will meet lots of interesting people at the gym however flirting and dating do not mix with the serious workout crowd. Most gyms do have a gathering area such as a juice bar ... a great place to start a conversation (I'm sure April could come up with several topics immediately) with people.
I met my husband by placing a classified ad in the 'companion' section of the local newspaper in the area where I wanted to live. The ad started with 'affable' so it would be near the beginning and listed the qualities I was looking for. From there it becomes a lengthy story, so I'll stop for now...
We've been together 18 years and happily married for 15 this summer.

I think it's fine if gym members meet each other and date, but not so cool if you work at a gym. I mean, if you just so happen to meet the love of your life at the gym you happen to work at...fine...but you don't want to have a reputation of being a "cruiser" at the place you work.
Just my opinion. Keep it professional if it's your job, otherwise have fun.
