Online Dating Coach - Internet Tips before the Singles and Couples Big Romance - Valentine's Day!
Whether you are a single person, married couple, committed couple, it can seem like THE BIG FINAL EXAM pressure and tensions when February 14th starts to approach.
Yes folks, I am talking about..
VALENTINE'S DAY!
I can hear all the poor men cringe and groan.
What IS it about Valentine's Day that is so beloved and simultaneously dreaded?
The PRESSURE of THE EXPECTATIONS.
I am SERIOUS here.
I hear from single women, griping that their boyfriends gave them red roses.
"He didn't take the time to find out what I LIKE!"
Or the poor men who are newly back in the dating sphere, single dads, divorced dads, getting back into dating, the internet dating sites, and finding so many of the single girls' expectations have changed since they were last dating.
Here it is February 5th, 2009. In some metro areas, if you don't already have a reservation made back in January, forget about it. Unless you are Brad Pitt's assistant or making the reservation for Britney Spears, it is ALREADY too late.
Everything which is darling and filled with candlelight is already taken.
Feels like you can't win for losing?
Really, I understand.
Let me help you out a little here with some dating relationship advise.
Easy Dating Tip: Make Your Reservations at a great Steak House.
Quite often still have tables on Valentine's Day available. Ruth Chris. Black Angus. Go for it!
Often the good steak houses are still quite romantic and supportive of women's current diet trends towards Atkins Diet and South Beach Diet of focusing on protein. And often steak house are dimly lighted, which translates to her feeling it is a romantic environment.
All this week I will post about lifesaving easy dating tips for men to survive and thrive through Valentine's Day!
All the best!

I always warn my husband "Please don't get me roses!" It's not that I don't like flowers, and I do love roses, but paying 300% more for something because it is a particular date really angers me and I can't enjoy them. I love your suggestions for dinner at a steakhouse and you're right, they usually are dimly lit. It could still be romantic. Only problem with me is that I'd rather bring the kids than get a babysitter. I just like being with my children. Great post.

Well, I'm sure one can be a glutton on love at least for that day.

Understanding Personalities for Better Influence & Persuasion
April,
I get the impression that people are "entitled" to special treatment on Valentine's Day. Too often, I hear women say "my boyfriend better do something nice for me on Valentine's Day" With this mindset, it loses it's lustre. Call me crazy but if I had my girlfriend had this attitude, I would dump her like a hot potato.
I do not think Valentine's Day is all that. I am not speaking from a bitter single perspective. This weekend in Ontario is a long holiday weekend (It is called Family Day).
By the way, isn't the Atkins Diet not healthy for you?
Too many women set their expectations too high for the holiday, causing pressure for the man and setting the woman up for disappointment. My recommendation...cook a nice dinner at home. It's fun, romantic and far less expensive.
As for Valentine's Day just say "No"! If you do feel the need plan something for the day after. Flowers, especially roses, are far cheaper as are most restaurants. They are far less crowded as well.
