And then report back here at the blog what you are doing and where you are practicing this. Coffee shops. Department stores. Book stores. Let us know from the dating trenches where YOU are!

Hey, how come you forgot your suggested practice run with "the little old ladies in Safeway?"

Ms. Braswell;

As for the single never marrieds, I know I am not a nervous single and I don't take the "immediate results" approach. If you consider that as one gets older, the dating pool of "eligible" singles gets reduced. I had a friend who one told me "If one does not have a serious relationship by graduation, chances of getting married are remote". In canada, stats show that if one is not married/common law by 30, better chance of getting hit by a bus.

Where this is going...well it may be more friendlier in San Francisco. Here in London, Ontario Canada, I don't see the friendliness. All I see is students busy with finals and in the malls..it's overrun with young married couples and their children, talking about the trials of raising 3-6 years olds. For a mid-30s active single...it is from my own experience that securing dates over the holidays is not a wise move. I found that I get "lost in the holiday spirit"
