Easy Dating Tips for GETTING MORE DATES - Practice Superb Self Care

Comments

Yes, I went shopping for Mother's Day -- my mom will be receving a beautiful live orchid plant and dinner at our home (orchids are her favourite flower; she carried them for her wedding over 50 years ago) on Sunday.

While I was at the mall, I picked up more cleanser, toner and moisturizer (with spf). I have a morning and evening routine for my skin ... I used to find it so overwhelming but with practice I have managed to master it. I keep it simple and basic. One or two days a week, I wear no makeup at all to allow my face to just breathe. I am very careful about the products I use ... and prefer mineral makeup; no petroleum products or ground glass for my mascara please!

Hi Sue!

That sounds EXCELLENT. I admire orchids but invariable kill them.... so I prefer gifts of 1 - 2 dozen pink roses. Smell wonderful, and meant to die.....

And YES, I am a proponent of Minerals Make Up as well. It both LOOKS just so fabulous on me and has a little SPF protection properties to it.

Oh, you guys bought such nice gifts! My mom wanted drinking glasses. Small drinking glasses! Booooorrrrrrring. I don't know if my husband knows Sunday is mother's day yet. We'll see.

Skin care - yes - deathly important to me. I've been doing a nightime routine since I was about 15 years old. I really believe you need to start BEFORE the wrinkles appear to get the most benefit. However, 25 years times 20 minutes per night is an awful lot of time spent on my face.

I'm taking my sister (who is a good mother) to brunch on Mothers Day in honor of my mother who is no longer with us.

I too am religious with my skin care routine but alas at 60 the wrinkles are there. I just keep smiling and hope no one notices!

Skin care and grooming are paramount.

April,

Good mornining to you. Today I am headed out to the mall to go shopping for Mom.

I too love mineral makeup. I like it on its own for light coverage, or as a finishing powder over liqued makeup. It adds a luminosity that looks really healthy. :-)

No comments on the girls yet, obviously the other gentlemen are busy shopping for their Mother's Day gifts. By all means please give attention to the Hooters, a little TLC and preventative maintainance is much appreciated.

You know April, I will address men's grooming later. I am a big believer in the value of grooming and skin care and I do have a daily regimen I follow. I have never been a fan of being metro sexual, but every man, no matter how manly or rough around the edges, can benefit from taking care of himself.

I am also a big fan of the sun, and taek efforts to be tan year round. Yes, Dr. Peter, I am well aware of the damage sun can do, and I use sun screen religiously. But it is part of who I am and who I want to be.

Self-care is essential, and so is getting a great gift for your Mom, and Dad for that matter but that's in a month. For most parents the best gift is time.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone, especially you Mom's out there!!!

Steve

I think I'm in the "do the least possible" camp when it comes to grooming regimens and such. I do want to think of myself as taking care of myself, I just can't get into buying a bunch of different products all the time.

Aaron
No, I actually forgot that it was mother's day until today. So my mother is getting a phone call from me and that's about it. She doesn't mind though. As long as I acknowledge her she'll be a happy camper!
And might I say April, you do have beautiful skin!
I was just looking at my face today and might I say, I think that I look pretty good for almost 40! My skin regiment is ok, but I have good genes to thank as well.
I'm telling you, who wants a man who isn't groomed well and I'm talking everywhere! From head to toe!
I'm thankful that I have high standards and I can honestly say that I think that I have one of the most groomed men in the world as my life partner. I'm sure that you would agree.
Hi Trisha,

You DO look utterly fab! Steve is one lucky man to have you. And I'll have to take your word on it that he is well groomed EVERYWHERE, ;)

But ah, YES, that is SO important.

I'll have to talk about that at my blog as well.

Suffice to say, perhaps shower TWICE a day.

Shower BEFORE a hot date - especially if this is a HOT DATE with a life partner/spouse.

Whatever you are ENVISIONING will be licked, wash it so it TASTES fresh. Well, so much for waiting to blog it. Those are my words to live by.

Trim hair. Groom things. Some things may need to be waxed whether you are a man or a woman. Others shaved. Some just a little hair trimming.

Well, maybe I'll just blog about this and save us all some time and give some of the men here another heart attack.

All the best,

Ummm what is TNS?

Also I'm going to buy some of Dr. Helton's products and hopefully have glowing, less oily, blemish free skin in a month!
