Easy Dating Tips for GETTING MORE DATES - Get Your Nails Done!

Great idea April.

It is beginning to become quite acceptable and trendy for men to receive manicures and pedicures at salons. For those who have never had either, may I suggest they try one at a men's salon first so they don't have to deal with too many new things at once -- could lead to multi-tasking overload. Then, second time, go to a salon near your office or home -- that way you will meet women who live in the same area as you ... making it easier to meet for a coffee or meal.

Las summer one of the mooey macho men who was visiting my rental retreat with his wife and a whack of her sisters and their children made an appointment for a pedicure and reflexology -- only because his wife bet him a beer he wouldn't try it. Turned out, as it usually does, that he really enjoyed the session. We often forget that men need to treat themselves as well.

My wife dragged me to get my nails done 10 years ago. Nice, not $20 nice!
The pedicure is a different story. My feet are important to me. Too many icky things can happen to your feet so getting work done on them is important.!

Oh, yeah the places is mostly women. I prefer cooking class, cause I at least get fed!

HHHMMMM
As soon as I saw the title and scrolled down a few lines I thought "what is she trying to do to us make us metrosexuals?" Then you cover that

April,

You are SO good at exposing every possible location that men and women could possibly meet--and then giving the dialogue to get things going! Here's another: pet stores/dog shows. (Although maybe you've already covered that one and my befuddled brain can't recall. heehee.)

Hi Yann,

Metrosexual originated from LA. Straight men who practice a TON of fairly high end self care combined with clothes that verge on being at tad too trendy to the extent that you are sort of wondering, "is he?" but he really IS straight. Just metro. It's very LA because both men and women in LA REALLY REALLY care about LOOKING REALLY good, fashion forward.

Talk about context being all important.

Thanks April. I know the type of men you mean. There are quite a few of them in London too, but I don't think we use the term Metro to refer to them.

April, I don't think I was ever man enough to go into a nail salon looking to pick up chicks! Hats off to the guys who pull that off!

Aaron

I like a man with "man hands", but he has to have clean fingernails of course. I can't stand it when I go to shake a guys hand's and they are all soft and feminine. Ew Gross! I want to shake a hand that feels like a man's hand!

I do like well manicured feet on a man though!

I thinketh I am too old school for thiseth one. But if I were single I might give it a try. It is a great place to meet women.

Yes April, manicures for men. I am into hands. I love to see guys with well manicured hands. Very sexy. I won't go into detail.

Ahem.

Then I will.

We are hoping (and trust me, you men are hoping) to have contact with intimate body parts (yes, more than one, but that's for another tutorial.....) with those manicured manly hands.

1. My late husband did route delivery sales for Frito Lay. He handled boxes ALL day. His hands were a wreck. He would literally use fine sand paper on them to try to get them manageable rather than splitting. He LOVED getting a manicure periodically. Of course, his favorite was when I would do this for him. He felt SO LOVED by me in this gesture. Can you tell what his love language was?

2. My dad loved them too. Same thing, more the pedicure. The older you get, the tougher those nails get. He LOVED LOVED LOVED the foot massage. Mmmmmmm.

3. My bro is a Linux guy. techie. Would be in cages with machines that he had to do things to which would rip (literally) his finger nails. He started to get manicures at times (not like once a week like chicks).

All three, MEN and masculine. Hands NOT soft.

And yes, the main point is GREAT PLACE TO MEET CHICKS and get your calloused feet in shape (eeeeek).

Both in SF and NYC I have seen MEN of various ages getting their nails done.

I have a funny story about trying to get a legitimate massage in Pattaya Beach, Thailand a few years ago, but this is not the forum to tell it. I did get a manicure though. Pretty good one if I remember correctly.

I am a big fan of getting a manicure. I am also a big fan of getting a massage and a colonic. Do I get them, no, who has the time. But I really should try to take better care of myself and a manicure would be a great start.

Pedicure I'm not too sure about. I have this thing about my feet.

Ok, too much information!

Got a message instead (no feet though!). The feet are too ticklish for that nail/massage thing!

John

there is a mild embarrassment factor for men in this, but it is fun

making your skin more beautiful

Precisely! And that mild embarrassment lasts about 5 mins until the foot massage starts, and the drool starts out the corner of your mouth. Mmmm.

I imagine it is similar with those pursuing SUPERB skin care like with you, Dr. Helton? once they embrace it, it's like YEAH, this is GREAT!
